Tooth Whitening

enlighten-logoDo you want to give your smile a fast, safe and effective brightness boost? Then tooth whitening may be what you’re looking for.

Tooth whitening is one of the most popular cosmetic dental treatments available. Treatment can take as little as three weeks, meaning it’s the perfect way to boost your smile (and your confidence) before a special occasion, perhaps a wedding, a big family gathering, or an important business presentation. What’s more, most of the treatment is carried out at home overnight, so you won’t need lots of lengthy dental appointments (although you will still need to visit the practice a few times so that we can check on your progress and give you the best treatment available).

The single most important thing to remember if you’re looking to whiten your teeth is to only do so with the help of a qualified dentist. Tooth whitening kits available online can be dangerous, and may actually damage your teeth, leading to pain, discomfort and serious dental health complications.

We use the Enlighten Evolution 3 tooth whitening system, which is tried, tested and safe. You’ll need to make three visits to the practice in total, and treatment takes as little as four weeks.

First, you’ll see the dentist to take an impression of your teeth, so we can create bespoke tooth-whitening trays to fit your teeth perfectly. The tray turnaround time is about two weeks; we’ll give you a special pre-treatment toothpaste to use during this time.

At your second appointment, when the trays are ready, we’ll show you how to use them and the whitening gel that comes with them. You take the gel and trays home and wear them overnight for 14 consecutive nights.

The final appointment sees you having a last treatment in the practice, so bring your trays with you! Whiter teeth in just a few weeks – what’s not to like?

At your third and final appointment you will have an in-house treatment, so be sure to bring your trays with you. This will help to ensure a consistent overall look at the end of treatment.
